Australian Government assistance for small exporters

On the 13 May 2014 the Australian Government announced an assistance package for small exporters.

Roll out of the package commences in the 2014-15 financial year and comprises three elements – a rebate for eligible small exporters in 2014-15; a fee and charges review; and projects to assist small exporters to improve market access.

The rebate is available to eligible small exporters in the egg, seafood, grain, horticulture and meat sectors.

Applications must be received by 31 October 2014.

The Department of Agriculture is working with industry consultative committees to implement the package.
