Eight new pest fact sheets are now available on the NGIA website. The pest fact sheets are an output of the levy funded project NY11001 Plant health biosecurity, risk management and capacity building for the nursery industry.
Each pest fact sheet is a detailed examination of a pest including its life cycle, signs and sympotms, host ranges and control methods. The pests examined include some which are already present within the industry and others which represent a major biosecurity risk to the industry.
The pests covered so far include;
Alternaria species (Alternaria spp.)
Asiatic citrus psyllid (Diaphorina citri)
Fire blight (Erwinia amylovora)
Fusarium species (Fusarium spp.)
Glassy winged sharpshooter (Homalodisca vitripennis)
