NGIA is seeking expressions of interest from nursery levy payers for an upcoming levy funded USA Green Infrastructure/Production Study Tour scheduled for July 5-14 2014. The purpose of the study tour is to witness best practice examples of green infrastructure, research and policy outcomes that will inspire study tour delegates upon their return.
Departing Sydney on 5 July, delegates will visit San Francisco and Los Angeles where they will visit an array of green infrastructure initiatives and projects. Included on the draft itinerary is a visit to The Sacramento Tree Association, Deep Root, Boething Treeland Farms and a special behind the scenes visit to Disneyland to learn about the greenspace within the park precinct.
The study tour will work its way to Columbus OHIO where tour delegates will visit Cultivate 14 (formerly known as OFA Short Course) for two and a half days before heading back to Australia on 14 July. Cultivate 14 is a world leading premier educational trade show with more than 7 acres of exhibits including technology, new products and services, and new plant varieties.
The study tour is a nursery levy funded project and therefore the cost of attending will be subsidised (costing still being finalised). Up to 15 places are available and with places being allocated on a first in first served basis, it is important you register your interest immediately. Please notify Anthony Kachenko on firstname.lastname@example.org or 02 8861 5106 if you are interested in attending or for additional information. Further updates will follow.
