WEBINAR POSTPONED: Business Benchmarking Tool

The interactive webinar will now be held on Wednesday, 24 June to unveil the latest version of the Nursery Industry Business Benchmarking Tool.

Developed as part of the Nursery Industry Statistics 2017-18 (NY17008) project, this tool enables production businesses to benchmark core aspects of the business against the extensive sample of surveys conducted in 2016, 2018 and 2019.

Now in its third iteration, the tool is further refined as more statistically accurate data is obtained, analysed and incorporated.

Aiming to improve productivity and profitability, production nursery businesses can compare sales, employees and wages against national averages over four turnover splits, make comparisons against type of plant sold and key markets the business operates in and compare turnover per hectare of production.

The webinar will be conducted by Rebecca Moriarty and Jan Paul van Moort from ACIL Allen Consulting, who are integral in delivering the project with partners, Greenlife Industry Australia and Down To Earth Research.

Attending the Greenlife Industry Australia conference in Perth earlier this year, Rebecca and JP were able to engage directly with production nursery businesses to obtain firsthand insights for the refinement of the tool.

For nursery production businesses and levy payers, this webinar will provide a live demonstration of how to use the tool and how to interpret your business data. There will also be a Q&A held at the end of the webinar.
